<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide humanβdefensin-2 production promoter which is an antibacterial peptide and a method for promoting the production of humanβdefensin-2. <P>SOLUTION: The humanβdefensin-2 production promoter comprises organic acid-containing hydrophilic solvent extract of esculent basidiomycetes.
