<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soluble epoxy resin-containing zirconium-based metal surface-treating composition that is small in treating-time dependency of an amount of chemical film, facilitates the control of the amount of chemical film, and is excellent in throwing power of electrodeposition coating. <P>SOLUTION: The metal surface-treating composition contains zirconium, fluorine, and a soluble epoxy resin. The soluble epoxy resin can be obtained by disacidifying an amine-modified novolac epoxy resin with an acid and has an average nuclei number of 3 to 15, a glass transition temperature of 80 to 110°C, and the amino group amount of 0.2 to 0.5 mol/100 g. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
