摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared sensor capable of avoiding erroneous detection due to disturbance light incident on a peripheral wall of a cap body covering a sensor body. <P>SOLUTION: A cap body 20 is made of a synthetic resin material allowing infrared light to pass therethrough and formed in a cylindrical shape with a bottom. The cap body 20 is placed over the sensor body in such a manner that the cap body 20 covers the sensor body. The cap body 20 has a bottom 21 facing an infrared light receiving section of the sensor body and a peripheral wall 22 standing along the whole outer peripheral edge of the bottom 21 in one direction and surrounding the sensor body. The cap body 20 has recesses and protrusions 23 formed on the inner surface of the peripheral wall 22 facing the sensor body. The recesses and protrusions 23 reduce the amount of infrared light passing through the peripheral wall 22. Accordingly, by forming the recesses and protrusions 23 on the inner surface of the peripheral wall 22, the inner surface of the peripheral wall 22 reflects disturbance light incident from a side face of the cap body 20, thereby reducing the amount of disturbance light incident on the inside of the cap body 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p>
