PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of achieving both an improvement in strength of a catalyst layer and an improvement in proton conducting characteristics, in a membrane electrode assembly.SOLUTION: A catalyst layer containing a first electrolyte resin and an electrolyte membrane are prepared. The catalyst layer and the electrolyte membrane are joined together at a joining temperature equal to or higher than a glass transition point of the first electrolyte resin in an atmosphere containing water or an organic solvent. |
