摘要 FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention refers to ophthalmology and can be used for intraoperative examination of central and peripheral eye ground following phacoemulsification or laser extraction of cataract. Before implantation of an intraocular lens following removal of an opaque lens and cortical mass by means of an irrigation cannula, a water lens is created on the eye surface by preventing an outflow with a finger or fingers at an outer orbital margin. Thereafter, a cortical microscope (CM) is tilted 5-7 degrees in relation to a vertical axis to observe the central eye ground. That is followed by visualising an optic disk, performing physiological excavation and delivering the central retinal vessels under the control of a surgeon with moving the eye 4 mm to the right if examining the left eye, and to the left if examining the left one. The peripheral eye ground is examined from an equator to a dental line by tilting the CM 8-12 degrees and moving the eye as far as possible.EFFECT: method enables performing the intraoperative prediction of the visual functions and typing the IOL.5 ex
