<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp lighting device in which increase in the size and cost is minimized while suppressing excessive increase in the switching frequency. <P>SOLUTION: The discharge lamp lighting device A includes a power conversion circuit 2, a comparator 42 configuring a zero current detection circuit, and a monostable multivibrator 44 configuring a timer circuit. The monostable multivibrator 44 outputs an ON signal for turning the switching element 22 of the power conversion circuit 2 on upon elapsing a predetermined delay time after a detection signal of a comparator 42 is input, and disables input of the next detection signal until the delay time elapses. The delay time is changed depending on either the switching state of the switching element 22 and/or the I/O state of the power conversion circuit 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
