The disclosure discloses a method and a device for transmitting uplink control information. The method includes that: uplink control information to be transmitted is determined on the basis of high layer signalling and/or a predefined rule, and the determined uplink control information is transmitted on a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH). The device for transmitting uplink control information includes: a determining unit configured to determine, on the basis of high layer signalling and/or a predefined rule, uplink control information to be transmitted; and a transmitting unit configured to transmit, on the PUCCH, the determined uplink control information. The disclosure can ensure the maximum system throughput, and can also reduce the feedback delay of downlink channel information.
