A process for producing middle distillates from a feedstock comprising at least one fraction of feedstock resulting from a renewable source is described, wherein said process comprises at least: a) a hydrotreating step in which said feedstock is brought into contact with a fixed-bed hydrotreating catalyst, said catalyst comprising a hydro-dehydrogenating function and an amorphous support, b) a step of separating at least one part of the effluent resulting from step a) into at least one gas fraction comprising hydrogen, at least CO and CO2 and the C4- compounds, and at least one hydrocarbon-based liquid effluent, c) a step of hydroisomerization of at least one part of the hydrocarbon-based liquid effluent separated in step b), in the presence of a fixed-bed hydroisomerization catalyst, d) a step of fractionating the effluent resulting from step c) so as to obtain at least one middle distillate fraction, in which process at least one part of the gas fraction separated in step b) is sent back to step a), said gas fraction sent back to step a) comprising a CO content of between 0% and 3% by volume. |
