<p>The present invention provides a light irradiation apparatus which can irradiate an outer circumferential surface of a drum with UV rays in multiple waves having uniform peak strength. The light irradiation apparatus irradiates, with light, an object in the shape of a sheet moving along a portion of the outer circumferential surface of the drum. The light irradiation apparatus includes: a light source part comprising multiple light emitting devices arranged in the first direction and the second direction; and multiple optical units that have a pair of rectangular reflection mirrors arranged to insert optical axes of the light emitting devices in the second direction, guide light from the light source part to the reflection mirrors, and emit light in the amount at a predetermined spread angle with respect to the drum. The optical units comprise N×M (M is an integer equal to or greater than 1.) optical units emitting light in N (N is an integer equal to or greater than 2) kinds of different wavelengths. Each light emission surface of the N×M optical units is arranged on a predetermined reference plane. The distance between the reflection mirrors of the optical unit is set based on the distance from the reference plane to the outer circumferential surface of the drum.</p> |
