According to an embodiment of the present invention, disclosed are vertically rotatable differential drive system, and a method to allow the operation of a driving part in all directions as the driving part rotates around a shaft vertical to a driving surface; and to allow the operation of the driving part with a power supply or without the power supply, wherein the driving part is vertically adjusted to be operated with the power supply or operated by human power without the power supply. According to the embodiment of the present invention, the vertically rotatable differential drive system may comprise: a main body part; a rotational member attached to a bottom of the main body part; a driving part which rotates around a shaft vertical to the driving surface of the main body part to which power to operate the main body part is supplied; and a control part to control the driving part.
