An ingredient dispenser 101 for dispensing ingredient into a liquid comprises a main body 102 which is configured to at least partially disintegrate or dissolve upon contact with a liquid including water, for instance a liquid drink or food. The ingredient dispenser may release an ingredient 105 into tea, coffee, soups or other such beverages or foodstuffs upon disintegration of all of or a portion of the main body. All of the main body or only a portion of it may be formed of a material that will dissolve or disintegrate in water, preferably an edible material such as rice paper or seaweed. In an embodiment, the main body 102 is elongate with an ingredient dispensing portion 104 at its distal end 111, and a stirrer portion 103 at a its proximal end. In this embodiment the ingredient dispensing portion 104 may comprise a chamber 106 with an ingredient 105 in a water-soluble capsule or sachet 116. |
