A shoe polish applicator comprises a base and a lid screwed together. The base includes a spring mounted cosmetic sponge or applicator pad and the lid contains a solid polish disc. The spring mounted sponge allows the applicator to reach the reducing height of the polish in the packaging lid when not in use and enables smooth application of the product to the contours of the shoe when in use.
