<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To not only provide a novel heavy metal fixing agent capable of remarkably reduce the leaching amount into water of heavy metals, for example, lead existing in soils, but also provide a method for treating heavy metals, particularly soils contaminated with lead, to fix the heavy metals in soils. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the heavy metal fixing agent containing a silicic acid-containing aqueous solution as a main component. The present invention relates also to the treatment method of heavy metal-contaminated substances, including adding and mixing the heavy metal fixing agent in the heavy metal-contaminated substances, then adding and mixing one or more substances selected from the group consisting of an alkaline metal oxide, an alkaline metal hydroxide and an alkaline metal carbonate therein. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
