The present invention relates to a positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery, a manufacturing method thereof, and a lithium secondary battery including the same. Provided is the positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery which comprises a compound core available of reversible intercalation and deintercalation of lithium; and a coating layer located on at least one part of a surface of the compound, wherein the coating layer includes Li_3PO_4 and LiF, the coating layer is a complex coating layer which includes a lithium metal compound, a metal oxide, a fluoro metal compound, and/or a combination of the same, and the core is doped with fluorine.
