<p>This invention provides a food processor arrangement with a rotatable cutter disk 12 supporting a blade 48 that is reciprocally moveable relative to the disk in order to enhance its cutting performance. The arrangement comprises a base presenting coaxial drives at an outlet driven by an electrical drive motor. A lidded bowl sits on the base and a drive shaft, which picks up the drives from the outlet, and, extends upwardly through the bowl to support and drive the disk just beneath the lid of the bowl; the lid being apertured to allow insertion of foodstuffs for processing in the bowl. One of the drives carried by the shaft is used to rotate the disk and the drive shaft is configured to apply the other drive to a cam that is adapted to co-operate with one or more cam-followers to impart the desired reciprocating motion to the blade, thereby causing the blade to execute an additional slicing motion relative to said disk.</p> |
