a neural stimulation system adapted to contact and stimulate a subject's visual neural tissue and subtending a portion of the subject's visual neural tissue; a video capture device providing a video image; and a video processing unit receiving the video image from the video capture device, selecting a portion of the video image having a field of view matching a field of view of the subject's neural tissue subtended by the neural stimulation system, converting the portion of the video image to stimulation patterns and transmitting the stimulation patterns to the neural stimulation system. |
