A transfer-resistant cosmetic composition comprising: a combination of (i) a silicone acrylate film forming polymer; (ii) a particulate colorant comprising an alumina platelet having a top face and a bottom face and an average thickness of less than 0.5 microns and an average diameter between 1 and 20 microns, having a first colorant comprising a pigment or lake bonded to the top and bottom faces by treatment with triethoxy caprylylsilane; and (iii) a cosmetically acceptable vehicle; wherein the silicone acrylate film forming polymer and the particulate colorant are present in amounts to provide a synergistic enhancement in transfer resistance.
