1. A method for generating a plurality of I/Q modulated signals, the method comprising:
providing a phase locked loop (PLL) circuit for outputting a common output signal at a predefined frequency; applying a first frequency shift to the common output signal of the PLL circuit to obtain a first carrier signal; applying a second frequency shift to the common output signal of the PLL circuit to obtain a second carrier signal, wherein the first frequency shift and the second frequency shift are different from one another; modulating the first and second carrier signals based on first and second I/Q-input signals; wherein the first I/Q input signal comprises a first in-phase component and a first quadrature component and the second I/Q input signal comprises a second in-phase component and a second quadrature component; and combining the first and second modulated carrier signals into a single output signal. |
