The present invention relates to an electrode for a sheet type secondary battery, comprising: a current collector; an electrode active material layer formed on one surface of the current collector; and a first porous support layer formed on the electrode active material layer, to a preparation method thereof, and to the secondary battery and a cable-type secondary battery comprising the same. According to the present invention, flexibility of the electrode can be significantly improved by introducing a support layer on at least one surface of the sheet type electrode, and prevents decrease of capacity of the battery and can improve cycle lifespan properties of the battery by preventing the electrode active material layer from being detached from the current collector even if severe external force is applied to the battery. Also, an electrolyte can be supplied into the electrode active material layer by having the porous support layer. As the electrolyte is impregnated into pores of the porous support layer, increase of resistance in the battery can be prevented, and degradation of performance of the battery can be prevented.
