1. A method for use in a wireless communications network, the method for a subscriber station communicating with at least one base station, the method comprising:
receiving a downlink (DL) assignment from the at least one base station; determining a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) resource index nPUCCH (PUCCH format 1a/1b), wherein: when a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) comprising a number of Control Channel Elements (CCEs) carries the DL assignment, the subscriber station derives the PUCCH resource index nPUCCH according to the equation:
nPUCCH=nCCE+N; wherein nCCE is the smallest CCE index of the number of CCEs, N=NPUCCH(1) is cell-specifically higher-layer configured; when an enhanced PDCCH (ePDCCH) comprising a number of enhanced CCEs (eCCEs) carries the DL assignment: when the ePDCCH is localized, the subscriber station derives the PUCCH resource index nPUCCH according to the equation:
nPUCCH=neCCE+N′+YΔ; and when the ePDCCH is distributed, the subscriber station derives the PUCCH resource index nPUCCH according to the equation:
nPUCCH=neCCE+N′+Y; wherein neCCE is the smallest eCCE index of the number of eCCEs, N′=NPUCCH-UE-ePDCCH(1) is subscriber station-specifically higher-layer configured, Δ is a function of a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI), and Y is determined by a 2-bit field in the DL assignment; and transmitting a hybrid automatic repeat request-acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) information for a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) scheduled by the DL assignment to the at least one base station on PUCCH resource nPUCCH. |
