The present invention refers to the manufacture an application of multi-stage composite membranes for proton conduction based on polyetherimides, inorganic materials and ionic liquid; and the application thereof in fuel cells and in any process requiring proton transport through membranes. The dispersion of the solid material in the polymeric solution may be performed through conventional methods of mechanical agitation or non-conventional methods such as ultrasound, which is a source that facilitates, accelerates and increases the homogeneity of the dispersion. The application of the membranes is focused, but not exclusively, on the use of proton conduction membranes in fuel cells. |
