ELECTRIC DOUBLE LAYER CAPACITOR

The present invention relates to an electric double layer capacitor, wherein a conductive weld plate is welded to a winding element by laser welding to increase the contact area between the winding element and the conductive weld plate so that an Equivalent Serial Resistance (ESR) characteristic may be improved, thereby achieving high output. The electric double layer capacitor comprises: a first conductive hollow-bobbin, which has a first conductive weld plate positioned on the outer circumferential surface of the one side thereof and a conductive electrode coupling plate positioned on the outer circumferential surface of the other side thereof; a second conductive hollow bobbin, which is inserted into the first conductive hollow bobbin by interposing an insulation ring member so that one end is supported by the first conductive weld plate and includes a second conductive weld plate positioned on the outer circumferential surface of the other side thereof; an insulation hollow-bobbin inserted into the first conductive hollow-bobbin to be located between the first conductive hollow-bobbin and the second conductive hollow-bobbin; the winding element, which is inserted into the second conductive hollow-bobbin, includes a first electrode connecting part positioned in one side thereof, and a second electrode connecting part positioned in the other side thereof, wherein the first electrode connecting part is connected with the first conductive weld plate, and the second electrode connecting part is connected with the second conductive weld plate; a metal cover, which includes a first outer electrode connected with a conductive electrode coupling plate and a second outer electrode connected with the second conductive weld plate and includes an insulation O-ring member inserted into the outer circumferential surface thereof; and a metal case, which includes the winding element arranged therein, a bead part formed on the inner circumferential surface of the other side thereof to support a metal cover; and a curling part formed at the end of the other side thereof to pressurize the insulation O-ring member.
