The cap (1) has an insert (20) including a peripheral shaping unit (27) i.e. bead, associated with an oblique compression unit (26) i.e. bead, which acts on an end edge (47) of an annular peripheral part of a seal (40) before a lower face of a head of the insert exerts axial compression on an axial compression zone (46) of the seal during depression of the cap for securing the cap with a glass ring (100). The shaping unit acts on the end edge. The compression unit acts on a part (471) of the end edge located in the vicinity of the compression zone.
