PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a suitable white balance control value when a subject that does not include a screen of a display device is imaged after the screen of the display device is imaged. ! SOLUTION: A calculation part of an imaging apparatus calculates a new white balance control value by combining a first white balance control value obtained on the basis of first state information and a second white balance control value stored correspondingly to second state information that is preceding to the first state information in time and obtained by imaging, in accordance with changes in the first state information and the second state information. When changing a scene to be imaged from a special scene to a non-special scene, the calculation part calculates the new white balance control value without using the second state information and the second white balance control value corresponding to the special scene. !
