PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder and an image formation apparatus such that a separation part can be prevented from having lower separating performance owing to a position shift of guide means. ! SOLUTION: A front guide 10 which is provided upstream from a separation part 3a in a sheet conveyance direction across a receiving space G formed with a feed roller 3, and guides a sheet sent out by a pickup roller 2 to the separation part 3a is energized with a front guide energizing spring 12 to be held at a position where the sheet is guided to the separation part 3a. Once a sheet feeding operation starts, a movement restriction member 14 is moved to a position where an amount of movement of the front guide 10 in a direction in which the receiving space G expands is restricted when the sheet is fed, and moved to a position where the restriction of the amount of movement of the front guide 10 is released when the feeding of the sheet by the pickup roller 2 ends. !
