The present invention relates to an anode active material for a lithium secondary battery, containing GeO_2 whose particle diameter is 1 to 50 nm, to a manufacturing method thereof, and to a lithium secondary battery comprising the same. According to an embodiment, the anode active material for a lithium secondary battery containing GeO_2, and the lithium secondary battery have excellent electrical conductivity, charge and discharge properties, and durability properties.
