PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rosin emulsion sizing agent excellent in hard water dilution stability and elution resistance to a papermaking system and capable of reducing dirt in a facility for adding a sizing agent and the papermaking system. ! SOLUTION: There is provided a rosin-based emulsion sizing agent containing a rosins (A), a rosin-based emulsion sizing agent where the rosins (A) contains dihydro agathic acid of 1 mass% to 15 mass%, in other aspect, a rosin-based emulsion sizing agent containing a material that unsaturated carboxylic acids (B) is reacted with the rosins (A) and a rosin-based emulsion sizing agent where the rosins (A) contains dihydro agathic acid of 1 mass% to 15 mass%. !
