摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a catalyst used for oxidation reaction of metallic mercury included in a gas of 100-200°C by using a used denitration catalyst.SOLUTION: A catalyst for oxidizing metallic mercury included in a gas of 100-200°C is produced by holding a used denitration catalyst formed by carrying a catalytic component comprising titanium oxide as a main component on a metallic substrate including Fe as a main component under a wet environment, and then drying, or by making at least one selected from the group consisting of water, sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid soak in the used denitration catalyst formed by carrying the catalytic component comprising titanium oxide as the main component on the metallic substrate including Fe as the main component, holding the catalyst under the wet environment, and then drying.
