PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for reducing time for setting, in a data transfer system where both a facsimile apparatus and an information processing apparatus need setting for association relative to transfer of facsimile data. ! SOLUTION: In a data transfer system 900, when a program 542 relating to the delivery of facsimile data with a facsimile apparatus 200 is started at a PC 100 being a transfer destination, a setting instruction to set association between the PC 100 and the facsimile apparatus 200 is outputted to the facsimile apparatus 200. Then, when the setting instruction is inputted, the facsimile apparatus 200 stores association information for associating the PC 100 and the facsimile apparatus 200 with each other, on the basis of the setting instruction. !
