PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for searching for a route to effectively acquire information to be obtained by field investigation using a traveling vehicle, and a method thereof.SOLUTION: A first map DB stores map data including information on links including a link which satisfies a predetermined condition in a first area, and nodes. A route search apparatus selects, from the first map DB, a node where a link having a road width equal to or larger than a predetermined threshold intersects, selects an entry link which is a link joining the selected node and has a straight exit link with respect to the link, sets a flag in the selected entry link when a road width of a link which can exit from the selected entry link and is other than the straight exit link is equal to or larger than a predetermined value, and searches for a route to a destination and to exit to the straight exit link with respect to the entry link with the flag set thereto, by referring to the first map DB. |
