PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus configured to prevent a color in an edge of a character from being blurred when an image input externally is enlarged.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: a font detection unit which detects a sub-pixel font to be displayed by sub-pixel from input pixel data; a color specifying unit which specifies a background color and a character color from the input pixel data; and a color mixing unit which mixes a color of the sub-pixel font detected by the font detection unit and the background color and the character color specified by the color specifying unit with a color of the input pixel data.
