FACE RECOGNITION METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR INTELLIGENT SURVEILLANCE

The present invention relates to a method and a system for recognizing a face, the method comprising the steps of: recognizing a face by analyzing an image photographed by a camera, and generating a face image; confirming an object of the face image by comparing the face image with a reference face image stored in a database; tracing a recognized face in a monitoring region of the camera; and storing information of the generated face image and providing the information of the face image to a monitor. A face is recognized from an image photographed by a camera, and the recognized face is traced and recognized until getting out of a monitoring region. A monitor is provided with the same in real time.
