<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus for protecting passengers in a vehicle, comprising: a vehicle body; a biaxial FIS sensor mounted at the front center of the vehicle body to detect the deceleration on the X and Y axes as the longitudinal and lateral directions of the vehicle body in a collision of a vehicle; a deceleration meter to detect first deceleration in a collision of the vehicle; and a control part which determines the inflation timing of an airbag based on predicted displacement and displacement of the forward movement of a passenger from the initial position calculated based on the first deceleration and X and Y-axis speed change values measured in the biaxial FIS sensor.</p> |
