PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image output device, image output system, and program that can prevent the access to an external storage device, which is externally connected with the image output device, by an unauthorized third person via the image output device, even when the external storage device does not have a security function.SOLUTION: There is provided an image projection device 300 that is externally connected with an external storage device 38 storing a projection object image, and acquires the projection object image from the external storage device 38 and projects the acquired image, the image projection device 300 including a receiving unit 301 that receives an access request to the external storage device 38, an authentication unit 311 that authenticates the access request by using authentication information stored in a storage unit 32, and a control unit 313 that controls the access to the external storage device 38 on the basis of a result of the authentication. |
