PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device capable of selectively using an interleave-type active filter under a high load and a passive filter using a reactor under a low load. ! SOLUTION: A power supply device 1 comprises: an active filter 28; a reactor 11 serially disposed between an alternating-current power source 3 and the active filter 28; switch means 12 for short-circuiting and opening both ends of the reactor 11; a rectifier 24 whose input end is parallely connected to an input end of a rectifier 13 and whose output end is parallely connected to an output end of the active filter; and switching control means 22 for switching between a passive filter 27 and the active filter 28 by way of the reactor 11 on the basis of a predefined load threshold (an effective current value). Therefore, a filter with high efficiency corresponding to a magnitude of the load can be selected and used, which can improve power conversion efficiency when the load on the power supply device 1 is low. !
