PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element having a higher conversion efficiency.SOLUTION: A photoelectric conversion element includes a pair of electrodes and an active layer between the pair of electrodes. The active layer includes a p-type semiconductor compound and an n-type semiconductor compound, and satisfies the following (1)-(3) conditions. (1) The active layer has a first peak in a range of Bragg angle 2&thetas;=3-6°, in an in-plane X-ray diffraction measuring method. (2) The active layer has a second peak in a range of Bragg angle 2&thetas;=3-6°, and a third peak in a range of Bragg angle 2&thetas;=23-26°, in an out-of-plane X-ray diffraction measuring method. (3) The half value width of the first peak is smaller than the half value width of the second peak. |
