PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of an image forming apparatus after shutdown as much as possible.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 110 performs shutdown processing in response to a shutdown request (S402) from a server PC 301 (S403); transmits a shutdown packet to the server PC 301 (S404); and stops. When receiving the shutdown packet from the image forming apparatus 110 (Yes in S406), the server PC 301 transmits a command instructing turn-off of a switch 304, to a power meter 310 (S407). The power meter 310 shuts off power supply from an outlet 302 to the image forming apparatus 110, according to the command instructing turn-off of the switch 304.
