PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a carbonylation reaction using a transition metal catalyst by a continuous flow method for a purpose which can efficiently achieve safe and environment friendly reaction by stoichiometrically controlling carbon monoxide, which is a toxic gas. ! SOLUTION: A carbonyl compound represented by the formula (2): RCO-Z, where R is a (C1 to C10) aryl group or the like and Z represents a hydroxyl group or the like, is efficiently manufactured safely in consideration of environment by mixing and reacting a homogenous solution in which carbon monoxide, a compound represented by the formula (1) R-X, where R is as defined above and X is a halogen atom or OSO2CF3, a transition metal catalyst, a ligand and a base are dissolved in a solvent in a residence unit by a continuous flow method. !
