PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass plate holder capable of holding a glass plate by a simple operation. ! SOLUTION: A glass plate holder holds a flat glass plate in the vertical attitude, and comprises a holding body capable of holding both surfaces of the glass plate and a support body for supporting the holding body. The holding body comprises: a first holding member in contact with one surface of the glass plate; a second holding member in contact with the another surface of the glass plate; and a placing part, which is provided in the first holding member, for supporting an end edge of the glass plate.
