PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation transmission device which is high in mechanical rigidity and reliability, easy in handling at maintenance or the like, small in a load even in a vertical arrangement, and can easily perform the connection and release of a drive shaft and a driven shaft, and a rotating machine using the rotation transmission device, and a pump.SOLUTION: A rotation transmission device comprises: a first gear 2a arranged at an end part of a drive shaft; an outer shaft part 4 having a second gear 4a at an end part; a third gear 3a arranged at an end part of a driven shaft; an inner ring part 5 having a fourth gear 5a at an end part; a clutch part 6 which can connect and release the outer ring part and the inner ring part, and can transmit and block a rotation force of the outer ring part with respect to the inner ring part; and a casing 27. The outer ring part is formed into a cylindrical shape, and pivoted to the casing, the inner ring part is arranged coaxially in the outer ring part, a one-end side of the inner ring part is relatively rotatably pivoted to the casing at the outer ring part side, and the other end side is rotatably pivoted to the casing at a side opposite to the outer ring part. |
