PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for forming a low refractive index film having infrared blocking capability as well as refractive index reducing capability.SOLUTION: A composition of the present invention for forming a low refractive index film with infrared blocking capability, comprises beaded colloidal silica particles, spherical colloidal silica particles, acicular colloidal silica particles, tabular colloidal silica particles, or fumed silica particles, and one or multiple kinds of metal oxide particles selected from a group comprising In, Sn, Zn, Ti, and W particles having average particle diameters in a range of 10-120 nm, which are dispersed in a liquid medium. The silica particle content relative to the total solid content of the composition is 50-95 mass%, and the metal oxide particle content relative to the total solid content of the composition is 0.1-30 mass%. |
