PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature calculation device capable of reducing the processing load of calculating the temperature of an electric wire or a load, as compared with a conventional protective device that calculates temperature each time a current value is acquired.SOLUTION: A temperature calculation device includes: a current value acquisition unit for repeatedly acquiring a current value from a current detection unit 13a that detects a current value flowing in an electric wire 6 for feeding power to a load 51; a calculation unit for calculating the temperature of the electric wire 6 or the load 51 on the basis of the current value acquired by the current value acquisition unit; and a first storage unit 11c for storing the current value acquired by the current value acquisition unit. When the current value is acquired by the current value acquisition unit, the calculation unit calculates the temperature on the basis of the acquired current value and the current value stored by the first storage unit 11c at a frequency lower than a frequency at which the current value acquisition unit acquires the current value.
