PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator capable of ensuring less risk of falling of a sub-weight even if a strong force is applied, and adjusting the weight of a counterweight.SOLUTION: An elevator includes: a cage; a rope having one end fixed to the cage; a sub-weight inserting the rope into a rope insertion hole thereof; a sub-weight supply unit pushing/pulling the sub-weight by a sub-weight support supporting the sub-weight; a frame installed on an upper end of a hoistway; a lift unit installed in the frame, and supporting the sub-weight supply unit at a plurality of fulcrums; a counterweight fixed to the other end of the rope, and including a weight that includes a sub-weight mount portion provided on an upper end and mounting the sub-weight; and a hoist hoisting the rope. |
