<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing in which both of a change in structure of steel due to hydrogen penetration in the steel and wear damage are suppressed and which therefore can be sufficiently used in hydrogen gas.SOLUTION: There is provided the rolling bearing in which least one of an inner ring or an outer ring is composed of alloy steel containing C, Si, Mn, P, S, Ni, Cr, Mo, Cu, N and O in specific amounts and the balance iron with inevitable impurities. In the rolling bearing, hardness of a surface layer of a raceway surface after being hardened and tempered is Hv 656 to 743, the metal structure contains carbide of 3% or more by an area ratio, square root of area of predictive maximum carbide (√area max) is or 28μm or less when maximum size of the carbide contained in 30000 mmis predicted by an extreme value statistics, and the content of Cr contained in the martensite structure in the metal structure is 8 mass% or more.</p> |
