PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery with a safety valve, in which proper operation of the safety valve is secured by solving such a situation that an electrode plate group blocks a degassing hole. ! SOLUTION: A secondary battery with a safety valve includes; a container 101 obtained by sealing an opening of a container body 2 by a lid 3; an electrode plate group 4 which is housed in the container and spirally wound with a separator 16 interposed between a positive electrode 14 and a negative electrode 15; a safety valve 8 which is provided in the lid 3 and blocks a degassing hole 7 provided in the lid 3 when pressure in the container is a prescribed pressure or under; a positive electrode terminal 5 which is supported by the lid 3 and electrically connected to the end surface of the positive electrode of the electrode plate group 4; a negative electrode terminal 6 which is supported by the lid 3 and electrically connected to the end surface of the negative electrode of the electrode plate |
