PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a character string that is not originally included in a motion picture, from being erroneously recognized.SOLUTION: If a rectangular region for recognizing a character string extracted by a rectangular region extraction part 12 from an image forming a motion picture generated by an imaging part (10) is included in another image subjected to last translation processing, superposed with another rectangular region in which the character string is recognized, and superposed only on either a region of a predetermined width in one end portion of the image or a region of a predetermined width in the other end portion, a recognition possibility determination part (14) determines that the rectangular region is true and if not, it is determined that the rectangular region is false. A character string recognition part (18) does not recognize the character string from the rectangular region that is determined true and recognizes the character string from the rectangular region that is determined false. |
