PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical balloon. ! SOLUTION: A medical balloon assembly (10) includes a balloon (20) attached to a balloon catheter (12). The balloon (20) includes a balloon wall (co-extrusion) provided with a rib or a reinforcement element (40) that is formed by the same high polymer materials, materials of the same high polymer type, or compatible high polymer materials. In one embodiment, the rib is extended in thickness or depth of the balloon wall; in another embodiment, it may be flattened so as to grant virtually smooth outer surface to the balloon (20).
