PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a square lighting instrument capable of distributing sufficient amount of lighting light also for directions where corners of a shade oppositely face to each other.SOLUTION: A supporting member 11 for a body 1 to be supported shows a right square flat surface shape that is equal to a shade 3 and has a light source position 111 showing a square annular shape of similar figure smaller than the shade 3 at its front surface. Four base plates 21 are fixed at the light source position 111. Two rows of a plurality of LEDs 23 are practically installed at the surfaces of the base plates 21, and a plurality of LEDs 23 are arranged in annular form of inner and outer two rows at the light source position 111. A spacing of the plurality of LEDs 23 positioned at outer corner portions is made shorter than a spacing of a plurality of LEDs 23 positioned at the other portions and the number of arrangements of the LEDs 23 per unit length is made more at the corners than that of the other portions. |
