PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal machine capable of safely treating a flammable sample, and a method of opening a rotor chamber in the centrifugal machine.SOLUTION: A control unit 3 stops application of an electric current to a motor 10 when flammable gas is detected by a flammable gas detector 18. When a rotor 9 is stopped, the control unit 3 stops a vacuum pump 11, opens an inactive gas supplying valve 22 and, when a predetermined time elapses, opens an inactive gas discharging valve 23. The control unit 3, when the flammable gas detector 18 cannot detect the flammable gas, closes the inactive gas supplying valve 22, further, closes the inactive gas discharging valve 23 and validates a decompressing operation button 33. The control unit 3 opens an air leak valve 12 in accordance with an operation of the decompressing operation button 33 by means of a user and validates a lift operation switch 13. The control unit 3 operates the lift in accordance with the operation of the lift operation switch 13 by means of the user and takes out the rotor 9 from the interior of the rotor chamber 8. |
