<p>The present invention relates to a virtual engine sound system for vehicles and a control method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the control method comprises the steps of: detecting data for determining the volume of a virtual engine sound; determining whether an output condition of the virtual engine sound is satisfied, on the basis of the data; determining, if the output condition of the virtual engine sound is satisfied, a sound source to be reproduced; determining the volume of the virtual engine sound based on an external noise level of the vehicle; and outputting a virtual engine sound at the determined volume.</p> |
